Online Therapy

Therapy *when* it best works for you and *where* you are comfortable. We are all juggling so much these days. Let’s make therapy as accessible as possible, whether that be at home, at work, or in your parked car. Wherever you have privacy, I offer video and some phone sessions to ensure you can access therapy with respect to the realities of your life.

I am pleased to be able to offer psychotherapy in 42 states and counting. Please consult this map to ensure I have licensure portability to your state.

Insurance Information

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not participate directly with insurance companies. My clients often opt to use their “out of network” insurance coverage with most sessions covered at a percentage determined by your individual insurance plan. Additionally you can utilize Flex Savings Accounts (FSAs) or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to cover services.  Each visit is paid for by the client at the time of service delivery, with a Super Bill provided at the end of each month. You may submit this documentation directly to your insurance provider for reimbursement according to your plan’s allowance.

You may wish to contact your insurance company prior to engaging in therapy to determine what the “out-of-network coverage” may be as well as their rate of reimbursement. Please be sure to inform them you intend to see a licensed Ph.D.-level psychologist as the educational level of the therapist may impact the reimbursement rate provided by your policy. You may also want to provide your insurance carrier with the correct procedure code for this service (for ex., 90837 is typical for a 53-minute individual therapy session). Please be advised your insurance carrier may require a diagnosis for reimbursement. Some clients may not be comfortable with this for reasons unique to them. In all cases, it is up to you to contact your insurance carrier and find out more about your reimbursement schedule.

It is also worth noting therapy expenses may potentially qualify as a tax deduction. It is essential, however, you consult with a tax professional to explore the specific tax benefits available to you.
