Our first time meeting will be during your scheduled phone consultation. During this time you will be asked to share an overview of what you would most like to address in therapy. This will allow me to determine if I am a strong fit for your needs, as well as give you a chance to determine if you think we may work well together. Should we choose to proceed we will set the groundwork for our first several sessions together, typically including getting a clear diagnostic understanding of your experiences, goal setting, and treatment planning.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is typically conducted on a weekly basis. I understand this may not always work for everyone, and the most feasible and beneficial treatment frequency will ultimately be decided upon collaboratively during your treatment planning session.
-
For many treatment goals, a course of therapy lasts between 20-25 sessions. Typically, cognitive behavioral therapy is weekly with sessions lasting ~50 minutes. As you find your symptoms improve, we may begin to reduce the frequency of our appointments. It is true for some however that meeting more frequently or a longer course of therapy is most appropriate.

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning I do not participate directly with insurance companies. My clients often opt to use their “out of network” insurance coverage with most sessions covered at a percentage determined by your individual insurance plan. Additionally you can utilize Flex Savings Accounts (FSAs) or Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) to cover services.

I do not currently provide testing or evaluation services. I can at times provide you with referrals for these services depending on the state in which you live.
